Multisensory Architecture

Essay

Place: Bournemouth, England

Student project, second semester

The essay "Multisensory Architecture" explores how we experience architecture through multiple senses, not just the visual. In the essay, I challenge the strong emphasis on the visual aspect in architecture and present a new perspective in which other senses can be just as important, if not more important, for our experience of space and buildings. I have attached this essay because it has been crucial for my own development as an architect and has given me a broader understanding of the means one can use to create the desired experiences for the users of architecture.
